🔗Graph View - Visualize and Control Your Jira Linked Issues

The Graph View in Advanced Link Manager for Jira gives you an interactive and powerful way to visualize all your Jira linked issues, their relationships, and dependency structure.
With one click, you can turn complex Jira dependency management into a clean, dynamic, and intuitive graph.

This feature helps teams understand Jira link types, explore Jira issue links, and maintain a clean, validated dependency network across all projects.







How to Access the Graph View

  1. Open your Jira issue

  2. Navigate to Advanced Link Manager

  3. Click Summary

  4. Then click Graph

The interactive graph will instantly appear.

What the Graph Displays

The Graph View shows:

The Main Issue

  • Displayed at the center of the graph.

All Linked Issues

  • Only the correct and authorized issues appear.

  • Issues with warnings or invalid configurations are automatically excluded to keep the graph clean and accurate.

  • On the left panel, you will see multiple blocks, each representing a Jira link type (including link types not yet configured).

  • When clicking on a block, you can view the list of issues available for that link type.

  • This helps you understand your Jira dependency mapping, including unconfigured or unused link types

  • Work Items Palette includes a search bar to find issues by typing.

  • Reset Search : Click Reset Search to clear the input and reload the full list.


This makes it easier to explore large sets of linked items and manage your Jira issue dependencies effectively.


Add & Remove Linked Issues (Drag, Drop & Manage)

  • The Graph View allows you to manage links visually:

Add a Linked Issue

  1. Click a link type block on the left

  2. Drag an issue from the block

  3. Drop it onto the graph

  4. Select the link type and click create

  5. The issue will instantly appear as a new Jira issue dependency connected to the main issue

This makes it extremely easy to build or update your Jira relationship graph without leaving the screen.




Remove a Linked Issue

  • Click the Remove icon on the linked issue node to delete the relationship.

  • This action updates your Jira issue links in real time.

Graph Filters

  • To refine your visualization, the Graph View includes powerful filters to help you navigate complex Jira linked issues structures.

You can filter the graph by:

Spaces

  • Filter linked issues based on space type (Software, Service, Business, etc.)

Status

  • Filter by individual statuses

  • Or by status category (To Do / In Progress / Done)

Issue Type

  • Filter by Bug, Story, Task, Epic, Sub-task, etc.

Priority

Show only High or Highest priority dependencies when needed.

Advanced Filters

  • When clicking Advanced Filters, the following options appear:

Warnings
  • Show only unauthorized links :

    • Displays links with warnings

    • Perfect for detecting Jira invalid links or incorrect configurations

  • Show only unconfigured link types :

    • Shows link types that exist in your project but are not configured in Link Manager

    • Ideal for cleaning and organizing your Jira link hierarchy

Project Scope
  • Show only cross-project links :

    • Displays only dependencies that come from other projects

    • Useful for managing Jira cross-project dependencies


This helps you maintain a clean and accurate Jira link visualization that reflects real project relationships.

Full-Screen Graph Mode

To get a clearer and more comfortable view of your Jira dependency graph, you can switch to full-screen mode.

Enter Full Screen

  • Click Full Screen to display the entire Jira issue graph on your screen.

  • This is especially helpful for:

    • complex Jira dependency mapping

    • drag-and-drop linking

    • Clear visualisation

Exit Full Screen

  • Click Exit Full Screen to return to the normal view at any moment.
